Also known as Velvet Leaf Senna, Velvet-leaf Wild Sensitive-plant.
Lindheimer's Senna is a graceful, bushy perennial with yellow blooms. It grows in sun or part shade, in shallow limestone soil, on hillsides or dry, rocky fields. Its leaves are gray, thick and have a velvety texture. It is effective in a garden as either a specimen, or background plant. Birds and other wildlife eat the seeds. It is bumble bee favorite.
